Here are the build pictures for the main part of my bumper. its still not finished but it is at least useable now and I can drive around as it is for now til I can finish it up hopefully next weekend.

This makes welding much easier. I may have to start shopping for a better welder.

Nuts welded to washers.

Washers cut down to slide inside 2x4 steel

washers inside frame with holes drilled on each side to weld in place.

After holes were welded shut.

A look from inside to see the washers.

Test fitting and spot welding in place.

1/4" Angle in the corners for extra strength

Angle on both sides.

After most of the welding was done.

Finally bolted in.

Tire carrier on. (not finished yet. Needs a couple more brackets)

And another angle of the tire carrier

Just the ignition. It has a fuel pump kill switch too. And thank you!

Also, this fell into my life this weekend too. My brother started his MJ build a couple weeks ago and ended up finding this gem for $750. It runs and drives still and rolled only going about 5mph. Hello new parts car!

really nice, you took a clunker and making it look soo good, i love the switch panel, and i would really love to hear how you did the LEDs, not going to do that because i already have my switches picked out, but it's very interesting. and i really love that simple back bumper , keep up the good work, and show us a pic of that integra, it better be JDM

Thank you, with the LED's I picked them up on ebay and found a housing bracket to hold them in place. I just wired them into each switch and then ground the other side so that when you flip the switch it completes the circuit and lights up. The bumper has a few more things I am adding to it but I like the clean simple look as well. And yeah the teg is JDM. That was my project before I picked up my jeep. Its got the b18 in it, cold air, aftermarket headers, straight pipes out to 5" exhaust, lowered a little and a bunch of random other crap. The PO didn't treat it well and its really falling apart so I hardly ever drive it now but its sits and waits. When I want to drive like a D**k I drag it out.

I have considered it on mine but I need the fuel pump kill switch since I drive doorless and don't want my jeep to walk off on me. So since that is installed I cant set up remote start.

Its pretty fun but I wish it was a little more challenging. The pictures of the rock garden are the hardest part and that still not very hard unless you were bone stock.

Thank you. I do a fair amount of forum reading when Im not sure about something until I figure it out. That and a good game plan before you start anything and you can do just about anything.

I bet You are right 'The Plan'
Hopefully one day I'll post my hard work here haha, but for me hard work was to fix brakes on my xj
Now, many leaks there, DW.. not tested yet, probably caused by bad brakes, aaaaanyway good to read Your story, will keep eye on it
