Here are the build pictures for the main part of my bumper. its still not finished but it is at least useable now and I can drive around as it is for now til I can finish it up hopefully next weekend.
This makes welding much easier. I may have to start shopping for a better welder.
Nuts welded to washers.
Washers cut down to slide inside 2x4 steel
washers inside frame with holes drilled on each side to weld in place.
After holes were welded shut.
A look from inside to see the washers.
Test fitting and spot welding in place.
1/4" Angle in the corners for extra strength
Angle on both sides.
After most of the welding was done.
Finally bolted in.
Tire carrier on. (not finished yet. Needs a couple more brackets)
And another angle of the tire carrier

Also, this fell into my life this weekend too. My brother started his MJ build a couple weeks ago and ended up finding this gem for $750. It runs and drives still and rolled only going about 5mph. Hello new parts car!

My wheeling partner
Not for you full width guys.
Through the rocks.
Getting close to cutting those tires again.
From a different angle.

Thank you!
I have considered it on mine but I need the fuel pump kill switch since I drive doorless and don't want my jeep to walk off on me. So since that is installed I cant set up remote start.
Its pretty fun but I wish it was a little more challenging. The pictures of the rock garden are the hardest part and that still not very hard unless you were bone stock.

I bet You are right 'The Plan'
Hopefully one day I'll post my hard work here haha, but for me hard work was to fix brakes on my xj
Now, many leaks there, DW.. not tested yet, probably caused by bad brakes, aaaaanyway good to read Your story, will keep eye on it
