Bought some new tires online the other day. Got 4 15" steelies, with 35x12.5 BFG KM2s, mounted, balanced, and shipped as well as new lugs and the center caps for $875. Think they should be here sometime this week.

Really liking the new tires so far. They've got a lot of grip. Now if only I had some lockers...

Ordered rough country shackle relocation bracket to fix my 90 degree shackle angle and and help clear the 35s a bit better as well as some coil spacers up front for the same reason. Hopefully fairly soon I'll be getting some Ten shafts in the rear. Would like to do a swap for a later model 8.25 with 29 spline shafts and the do the aftermarket shafts but i have limited space to work with since I live in a trailer. Plus I don't wheel it super hard because it's my daily and I need to be able to drive for work.

There's really not much point to getting aftermarket shafts for the 8.25 unfortunately, they're all made of 1541H or something, not chromoly, and it's only like 10-15% stronger than stock.

I've heard that you wouldn't want chromoly shafts since it's a free floating axle. Plus I know a guy that was running ten shafts in his 27 spline 8.25 with a locker on 35s I went wheeling with him and he wasn't afraid to have fun with it. So for what I can do where I am I'm leaning towards it just for piece of mind. Plus I won't be climbing rocks down here in Florida. A lot of mud and clay.

Welp started to work on putting the shackle relocation brackets in, but was stopped by my landlord telling me he only wanted me to do basic maintenance and such and that I was doing too much and he didn't want to be liable. Fair enough but still a bummer. I think the only reason he said it was too much was because I was using an impact to get my lead spring bolts out and it was loud. So progress will be slowed quite a bit. Might just end up taking it to a local shop to get the brackets and coil spacers in since I don't have anywhere I can do it on my own.

Well now that I think about it I've got a friend who has a driveway that I could probably do it at. Eventually (hopefully) I'll get it in a a few weeks here. I also really need to redo my headliner. It's all sagging and touches my head driving.

Been running rough on startup lately. Found out why. Same cylinder as last time.

So I got stuck yesterday. As in 9 hours, sunk dodge diesel, busted straps, winch cable snapped (3 times), and literally laying in swampy mud and water trying to dig out my front driver tire which was almost completely buried. It got to the point where we were trying to winch me out but three of four tire were off the ground because the one was in such a deep hole. Only took one pic right after it happened due to frustration but it ended up being worse. But only left with a minor dent in the door, a missing rain gutter and slightly tweaked shackle.

Been over a year since my last post. Still going. Just replaced the drivers side upper and lower ball joints as well as the turn signal switch, lever, and relay. As soon as I have money I’ll be doing the passenger ball joints as well.
