Looks like it was a blast man! Hey are those LCAs spoken for? More importantly - would they fit on an XJ w/ a 3" lift? I had a guy that was going to give me a set of adjustable LCAs and then "forgot" and sold them.

They fit an XJ fine. It's really the eye-to-eye measurement that matters when lift is concerned. I'll check that when I go to lunch and PM you on 'em.

My wife is into crafting so I figured I'd see if she could make outdoor vinyl decals. Turns out she can! So, out went the old silver factory decals and the new yellow ones she made went on!

Not only that, but she was able to make me a hood runner as well, so the TJ can officially be named! Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you...WASP!

once the Mr. Fusion conversion happens it might. Heck, according to Doc Brown we should have flying conversions by now. They did it to a YJ in Back to the Future 2.

The wife gave me a nice little surprise as a finishing touch to the hood runner so no time was wasted in getting it put on.

lol... YES TO ALL!!! I did see a video not too long ago that someone was working on developing a hoverboard. It's reeeaaaally early in the development though so you know it wasn't anything spectacular.

Okay maybe not THAT early. I actually saw a video of someone gliding around on something... not very well at that.

yeah, the Lexus Slide. it uses magnets super-cooled by liquid nitrogen. three major problems with it:
1. SUPER expensive
2. liquid nitrogen refills every 10 minutes
3. the biggest problem IMO, it can only be used at the skate park Lexus custom built for it because it has to have a network of magnets in the ground to repel against.

Not much has happened to the TJ as work, family, school, and random crap keep getting in the way. However, with spring comes new things (including a tax return) so work has once again commenced on WASP.

First thing up was a good inspection of the frame. When I bought here there were a couple rust spots that I wasn't very concerned about. They appeared to be only surface rust and a quick hit with a stripper wheel would take care of them. I was wrong.
The guy that had the Jeep before me went on the beach A LOT. Even worse, he didn't clean out the sand and salt from the frame, so what I thought was surface rust at the time of purchase, was really rust eating the frame from the inside out.
Both center sections and the driver's rear control mount section were looking pretty sorry.
