Thanks guys.

Cleaned up the cut and fold. Wire wheeled the rust amd threw down some of that primer/color match combo that worked so well on the bumper.

Then I went to tackle my transmission. To drain and fill the fluid as well as change the filter. Still sitting there as I can't get the pan down because of dip stick tube not coming loose, and the bracket that holds the whole thing on is impossible to get to. Fluid was dark. Like red limiter up every hill dark.

Great build thread, I read it from start to finish over the past few days.

I admire your persistence and keeping at it with so many issues to deal with during your build. It makes me appreciate having a North Carolina vehicle with little or no rust - which seems to thwart almost ever mod you start on ..

It sounds like you've learned a whole lot and had some fun and friends to help and 4 wheel with along the way

Thanks man! Yeah it's been a wild ride and I'd have never thought I'd get into it this much or meet these great people who are now my friends.

Finally got the pan out. Got that bracket bolt off and wrestled it down through the engine bay, not even a torch would get the tube apart. I'm glad there wasn't any metal or anything in the pan or magnets, but got all the RTV off and cleaned up. Have to get new O-rings amd brake clean tomorrow so I can slap it all back together (easier said than done in my cases).

New filter on. New solenoids put in. But I cannot seem to get the pan back into place. Gets blocked by the exhaust pipe at one end and an inch sits under the crossmember.
