I had the same problems when I installed my lift. I thought I was going to have to cut a hole in the floor too but just used a hammer and punch and beat em out.

Thanks, but unfortunately there's not much there can be done without shackles and bolts right now. Earliest I cant get the bolts would be around 7 or 8pm cause my stepdad ordered them to his work. That car meet/show is in Bridgview I think. At Toyota Park where the Chicago Fire play, from 12pm-8pm I think. Meeting my uncle there with his '05 Mustang GT

Day 4... Got just a few millimeters away from finishing drilling out the bottom shock mount to 1/2" before my drill died. Figures. Waiting on that to charge. Bolts come later today so all I'm waiting on now is my shackles. ZJ steering might have to wait depending on how long the lift takes. Maximum deadline is get an alignment by Saturday morning. Literally anytime before that is golden.

Bad luck streak continues. Those shackles from Omix-ada were a POS and had to return them. Getting actual OEM shackles from the dealer tomorrow since none are in stock.
Definitely not right

Got the steering out. Tie rod ends at the wheels were shot, and I need 2 more ends, 1 for the tie rod, the other for the drag link cause I forgot to order them when I got the ZJ steering. Little **** of a track bar bolt just spins freely without coming out. Rusted in the bushing sleeve most likely. Bring out the cutoff wheel again...

Got the inner tie rod, outer tie rod, and adjuster sleeve. Make sure to get new tie rod ends as well.

More progress today! The rear is pretty much done except for getting the DS upper shock mount sorted. Got the ZJ steering and RE steering stabilizer in. The front still has to have the coils, LCAs and track bar put in, but the axle is still too far forward.
Hard to tell, V8 ZJ steering in
Also got an awesome birthday present!
AresFab front evolution winch bumper! Primed what I could and will finish painting later this week. Trying to fight the front bumper off to get this baby on

****. Got. Done.
Only things left:
1.) Install adj. track bar
2.) Torque everything
3.) Bleed the brakes
4.) Front alignment
5.) Trim what needs to be trimmed
6.) Paint and mount front bumper
7.) Add stickers
All in all it's about 90% done!
Bumper amd mounts are primed, need to get paint tomorrow.
What I had to do to the poor trunk to fix those upper shock mounts. Going to weld it back closed.
Mine lifted on 32s compared to my buddy's stock on 265/70/r16s
Wanted to get better comparison pics, but the battery is dead right now.
Was a 3.5" Rubicon Express Super-Ride with full leaf packs and mono tube shocks with 32x11.5x15 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar on 15x8 Black Rock type 8 circle window steelies with 4.5" backspacing.
Looks way more than 3.5", measured a before and after from the middle of center cap to bottom of fender.
BEFORE
Front: 18.25"
Rear: 16.5"
AFTER
Front: 23.5"
Rear: 22.75"
Gained 5.25" up front and 6.25" in the rear from my saggy suspension. I know it'll settle, but damn it looks nice. Will get better pics in the morning and it desperately needs a wash too haha.
