Thanks I'd never seen a xj sound bar that was separate from the head liner, so I snagged it! Good thing to, cause before I couldn't hear the radio over my swampers lol
Oh I also picked up a 12 ton pipe bender friday for my cage build, add onto the sliders, & tube bumpers!

Id say chop it, but only if you are confident you can make it clean. It will be alot of work. I like how your leaving a small window behind the doors, I like that concept.
IMO, only comp cut it if your going to stretch the wheelbase. It just looks funny with the stock wheelbase. Look into flipping your rear springs around for about 5" of stretch. You will need an anti-wrap bar to save your springs though.
A pipe bender and tube bender are completely different. Tube is measured via outer diameter (O.D.) and pipe is measured via inner diameter (I.D.). Therefore, the pipe dies will not fit the tube, and will result in kinking the tube. You can try packing the tube with wet sand to keep it from kinking. It seems to work fairly successfully that way.
The jeep looks great, and I really like the plans you have for it. They are similar to mine

I've been told I might be able to fit 1.5" .120 wall DOM in my 175" die I plan on taking the die to the steel yard to fit it before I buy!
The winch mount on www.detoursusa.com their detours backbone system- $300 ish
On the chop, I've been kinda putting it off tell my wife gets her new car with taxes! I plan on takeing my time with this, cause I don't see any reason to chop it if its gonna be half a$$ed!
Oh & I don't wanna strech the back axle tell I my D44/9" setup in, no reason to get my driveline lengthend twice.
Thanks for all the compliments!!!!!!!!
