2 Questions:
the durango alternator, is that a brand or a specific alternator used in the Dodge Durango and not any other Mopar vehicle? Second, I have two 95 XJ's and both have the vacuum tank by speed control servo. It is not mounted, nor does there seem to be a place for it so I'm stuck as to where it is supposed to be mounted? My best guess is that it was originally down behind bumper, both my jeeps had aftermarket winch bumpers already installed when I aquired them.

One of the problems using a front XJ aftermarket bumper is the loss of the mounting holes for your vacuum reserve canister...That's why yours has found a new home...You can mount it anywhere it's convenient.... Here's that elusive pic you've been looking for...lol...

Thank you for the alternator clarification and vacuum tank location pic! I relocated it under passenger headlight as well as tucking the horns up high inside fenders.

Hitting the 70,000 mile mark and it's time for an update...And the update is... Everything is working great !! Only one issue and that is the "rock lamp" rocker switch melted !! The cheap overseas plastic couldnt take the added heat of the illumination from the factory retrofitted switch when activated.. I had to add some epoxy to the rocker toggle finger so it keeps it's shape while on..Other than that it's been perfect...Drives like a dream no wandering, shaking, etc... With the ZJ steering components.. The TruTrac diffs are excellent for offroading and my buddies with full sized rigs are impressed with the overall wheeling ability of my rig...

I had that same problem with the cheapo plastic rocker switches. I didn't think about coating them for heat protection. Now I'm curious how long your fix will last.
