If you like the beach stuff, San Luis Pass is on the west end of Galveston Island and you can do some beach driving. Not a whole lot, but enough to get a fix. If you want more beach, take the Bolivar Ferry over to Bolivar and drive to High Island. Hwy 87 ends there and you can drive the beach all the way to Sabine Pass. You can also go down to Matagorda Beach and drive that one.

As far as mudding and trails, not much that I know of around here. I know there was a spot to mud over in Baytown near the new Grand Parkway and Tri City Beach Road.

Other than that, I mainly do beach stuff. There is a monthly meeting of the Houston Jeep Club at Wild Wing Cafe in Katy the first Friday of each month.

I had about 2 or 3 gallons of fuel in the tank so I added a full bottle of Heet. Ran the engine for about 10 minutes and it never smoothed out. I then added 10 gallons of fresh gas from some gas cans to see if that would smooth her out. After about 5 minutes of running very rough, she smoothed right out and now is purring like a kitten. I will add the rear diff fluid tomorrow. Gasket directions said to let if cure for 24 hours.

The salt did a number on the internals of the rear break drum. I guess I will be changing all of that out after I know its running.

I should get to drive around the block tomorrow and see how it does.
Hey man instead of replacing all your drum internals just go to the JunkYard! and rip out the breaks from a ZJ(grand cherokee) and convert your rear axle to disc's

Ordered Rough Country shackle relocation brackets, motor mounts, and rear bump stops today. Looks like I have something to do on Saturday. All of it should be here Friday.

New engine mounts are in. Removed the TRS to find this. Bummer. No cleaning this up.

Pics of the shackle relocation brackets that will go in tomorrow as well as the new bump stops and motor mounts that are now in. Pic of the old bump stops.

I am going to try JB Weld on the TRS and see if that will hold.
