yesterday I picked up a set of 15x8 4"BS soft 8 wheels from a guy on jeepforum (silverjeep)

he gave me a sweet deal of $160 for 5 wheels
they just need to be cleaned up

so I got my tires mounted on them and balanced

mounted two up front to get an idea of ride height and to see where, and how much of the fenders i need to trim

right on man! is this your first link build? looks pretty beefy. Im also about to start a cross member like yours but im doing a few things differently. i do like how the bottom of yours is flat, nice touch. looks like you could pracitce overhead welding a lil more lol

nice. what did that stick of 22' .250 dom cost you? i think you should leave everything black underneith looks good on the white jeep.
did you bevel the tube on your control arms where the bungs are before you welded them up?

I'm not really trying to go off on a Anti Dana 30 campaign here but...

I know you said the 30 is a strong axle, and it is... I just couldn't keep one together.

I ran a Trussed (Your brackets and truss look awesome btw), locked, chromo, super joint Dana 30. I had a problem with cracking the carriers and breaking shafts. I don't remember what locker you planned to put in the front but since you plan to run 35's I'd seriously suggest you installing a full case locker and 760 joints at the least.

Everything looks awesome! Thank you for taking the time to do something right instead of stacking coil spacers and blocks int he back.

Waiting to see the rear 4 link.

I got a fairly good deal on the tubing, I believe it cost me around $280 shipped to my shop. yep, i was just joking about painting everything green underneath (i cant stand jeeps with bright colored suspension).
I slightly beveled the ends of tubing, but that material is so thick its not easy to do.

Im going to run 4.88s, with an aussie locker I picked up from a friend, and I have some 760 joints also.
I am a little worried about running this setup, but I figure, Im not hard on my rigs, and Im running an AW4 so I wont be constantly trying to bounce and torque my way over obsticals.

thanks for the input man.

oh and btw, Im getting second thoughts about linking the rear

Yeah, the lunch box locker with a stock carrier was my downfall. Cracked 3 carriers broke 3 chromoly shafts before I built the 44.

I've yet to break anything on the 44.
