Default Jeep Cherokee xj w/ one tons and 40's

Been a long time since I've been on. Met a good buddy on here Andy aka lowrange2 that helped me with my first jeep cherokee xj which was a 1996. Sold my old xj a few years ago and now couldn't resist and bought a stock 2000 jeep Cherokee xj with 203k miles. Very excited to get this going and be back on the trails. Will be a way different ball game from wheeling a 2015 Toyota Tacoma with a mid travel lift and 35's.

Great start!
The Ford SD 1 Ton axles are a great choice.

Thanks bud. Will start back on the project tomorrow. Can't wait to get the front axle under.

Got the ruff stuff +2 perch in. This will do the trick to get the rear axle pushed back 2".

What gears are you going to use? I would do at least a 5.38 maybe even lower.

My buddy and I cut everything off the driver side and got the front driver side stiffeners on today. Tomorrow the passenger side mid stiffeners go on. It’s a lot of grinding to get these ***** on. The cuts on the fenders will be cleaner once we get the axle on and tires mounted. This weekend will also be a busy one. My buddy is going to fab up a custom cross member to get it ready for the 3 link.

TNT Fab makes a plate that eliminates the bump in the front of the wheel well, where the air box and battery sit for extra room for those big meats.

Yeah We’re cutting them out since I’m going to be running custom shock hoops that’s going up under the hood some.
