worth it $350? Not sure on gearing I'll ask though.
Definitely go with a full float axle if you can.

Can’t tell you much about that axle because I’ve never ran it. I do see a lot of people running it though. For $140 I’d try it out. Not a bad price maybe. Like I said though I’ve never ran it or looked up one.

Well seems like a sweet deal but looking it up takes a little to make them work. You have to weld perches on it or buy the IRO kit that comes with U bolts, perches and Truss for couple hundred which isn't bad. All in all by the time I lock it, get it to work on my XJ even at $140 I would be sinking in another $500 or more to make it worth my while. So we shall see at that price I might still snag it in case I change my mind or I could resell it.

My 8.25 served me and was a easy swap. I doubt I’d ever run anything over a 35” on it though. 8.8 will be better for anything over that from looking it up also. Some say anything over a 33” tire but I put mine through hell without issues and i was on a 35” tire.

An 8.25 will be fine for up to a 35" tire. There is a guy on YouTube running 40s on a built 8.25 and Dana 30 and hasn't broken anything yet. I don't reccomend doing that though.

I broke my 8.8 on 35's. It wasn't an easy task though.

Does that include calipers? $140 aint bad. I searched for a few months before I found one for $200 with calipers. And you can get the install kit from IRO without the truss, if you wanna save some money

Thanks again for the support I will leave your thread alone now with my personal questions and just rather post them up in appropriate spots when needed. I think I will just stick with the 8.25 cheaper and easier to run vice putting money into a 8.8 just to get it on my rig. If I was going to put money into some axles then I would get the beefier ones and go 1 tons. I have no need for that anyhow.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I just completed a 29 spline 8.25 swap WITH disc brake conversion and LSD on my '92. Couldn't have been an easier swap.

Things are happening this week at the shop. Can anyone guess where these are going?
