Thanks! Glad to get the electrical gremlins cut down!
Took some time to spray around the oil filter adapter to verify the leak which can be seen in the photo below. Also went and got the main adapter gasket and put an order in for the two smaller ones.
Time to get that Fram off.
Hard to see with everything in the way, but you can actually watch the oil pour out of the main gasket.
Mopar filter, gasket, and a qt of high mileage until i decide what oil and filter I want to use for the upcoming oil change.

Yes lol, unfortunately they didn't have the others available which will put the project back just a bit. That's fine because I have to figure out the best way of attacking it.
Some decent news:
Checked a spark plug and it aint too bad

The adapter has 3 o-rings and they are available as a set from Mopar, I bought mine on ebay I believe. Just did it last night, it wasn't bad at all.
Buy a T60 torx socket, put it in a vice and punch out the bit (the socket is too big to fit in the small space you have to work with).
Jack up the motor a few inches, it will give you a little more clearance between the bolt and the chassis.
Put the torx bit in, get a long box wrench on it and then put a breaker bar over the wrench. With a little muscle you should be able to break it loose and unscrew it the rest of the way out.
Grease the new o-rings before you install them, clean the oil and crud off the housing and slap her back together.

Or you could just buy a set of L-shaped torx wrenches from advance for like $20. I bought a set specifically to do my OFA and although I don't use them much, they definitely come in handy. Just saying

There are three o-rings and I ordered them online. I'm wondering if anyone has removed the engine mount and jacked the engine up enough to not make modifications to the torx bit?
Taking a junkyard trip tomorrow to look for a fender and random odds and ends, but in the meantime:
Removed the small random piece of plastic below the bumper. Makes the Jeep look a little cleaner.
All of them wire ties. Yikes!
Beginning to clean up the harness.
One of the radio connectors was fine, but this one was held together with wire ties, speaker wire, and twisted wires held by electrical tape.
Beginning to clean the dash side of the harness.

I did mine by banging the torx bit out of a socket, and without raising the motor. I just shoved something (forget what) between the unibody rail and torx bit so it would stay fully seated. Couple wrenches as "extensions" and popped it loose. Once that's done it's cake. It's just an awkward location so you have to finagle things a tad so you can get some muscle on it.
