HAHAH!!! I'm not really surprised but at the same time kind of in awe that they were dumb enough to screw up the light in the process of that.

They were lol

Today's the day she becomes legal, I wasn't going to drop the hundreds of dollars into a dead Jeep. Some small things happened last night such as:

Gluing the rearview mirror bracket that was non-existent.

Hey look at that, I can see behind me now. Well once I clean it anyway.

Removed some old decals that were fading away.

Two major problems exist, one is that leaking oil filter adapter and the other is the hatch won't close.

Going to have to resolve those before getting it upgraded.

Looking good man! You've made a lot of great progress.

Don't quote me on this because it was a while ago, but when I was researching into doing the oil filter adapter, I feel like I remember coming across a thread where someone had stripped the adapter bolt and I believe they ended up using a pipe wrench to get it off.

Again, I'm just throwing that out there. So proceed at your own risk. I don't want you to make it any worse. I'm just sitting here thinking about it, and it seems like it could work.

I was about to post the same thing. Small pipe wrench should do the trick. If all else fails grab an OFA and bolt from the bone yard then cut the head off to the stripped bolt with a sawzall. There was a thread somewhere a while back where someone had to do that due to a stripped torx.

Shhhhhhhiiiiitttttt.

Add another thing to the list.
It's not plastic...At least mine is not. It's metal and clips of the threaded end of the rod differently than the metal piece on now. I'll get a pic of it, i'll be fixing mine tomorrow...Again.

The circled red parts look to be what's left of the original clip...

Yeah comparing the photos to the stock Jeep photos and diagrams, it seems like a few parts are missing and bent.

Updates from the weekend. She runs and drives, well sort of. The charging issue is still there and appears to be a mix of a ground issue (the battery terminal comes loose and the ground wire doesn't make a good connection) and a bad voltmeter in the instrument cluster (voltage reads 9v and check gauges light comes on)

Out and about for the first time!

Charging. 14.4 volts at the battery but 13 at the instrument cluster.

Not charging by the voltmeter, but at 13 volts at the battery.

we won't discuss the things that have been in my Jeep since day one. I'm still finding stuff in the doors.

I'm still finding stuff in this one too.

I am at a complete loss, this thing loves its damn Check Gauges light. It has oil pressure than none. It charges than it doesn't.

I've verified oil pressure and charging but every time the idiot light comes on, I wonder.
