Just put 35's on my Xj with RC's 3in kit. Thing looks beastly-lots of cutting though.

I was wondering which gears you were going to go with?

I got my gears from RWKhaussupply.com for around $550 ( gears front and rear, master install kit front and rear, and new front carrier) and I got a fellow xj kid to install them for $225. I pretty much got 2 really good deals when it came to re-gearing.

After you mentioned where you got your gears I went to them for mine and got a quote really good prices I'm glad you mentioned them. I was planning on spending wayyy more. So now that's extra $ to put elsewhere on the jeep

I plan on getting mine from Robert too. His pricing is better than anyone.

I wanted to tell you guys. A little off topic but still relevant.

I've been keeping with my mpgs lately. Yesterday I filled up and got 15.6 mpg.
I don't have the speedo calibrated and I still need to re-gear.

So with the corrections, I estimate an actuall mpg rating of about 17-18.

Once I re-gear I should def be back in the 20-21mpg range.

even if I stayed at 15-16, that's still great for 4.5 and 33x12.5s...lol
and 20- 21..??? well hell, that's just pure CHEROKEE heaven...lol

I'm running 2400 rpms at 60, but I'm running 4.88s on 33s. Should have 35s by summer time and be back down to 2100

So here's the deal. The re gear was going perfectly and I was planning on picking up my xj the next day but then they stripped the threads on my front pinion gear so now they are sending it back to the manufacturer so they can test for manufacturers error or installer error. Hopefully I get a new one for free but even if I do It won't get in for a few days so the front drive shaft is coming off and the old front gears are goin in so I have something to drive while the pinion is shipped. So something that was gonna take a day is taking over a week and I'll be driving around a 2 wheel drive xj until then.

Not terrible I guess, worse things could happen.
