Alright so ive got a dilemma once again and figured you guys could all help me decide again. right now both options run about $1,400 but it takes a while for me to save up that much so i want to make sure i make the right choice. Here is the basic info needed:My XJ is basically my weekend warrior but i take it wheeling whenever i get a chance. It's my DD and will be making a few 14 hour trips over the next few years to and from college. i want a lift that will last but also ride decently on the road and perform well offroad. As far as kits go i chose the following kits because of the amount of stuff they include (adj. trac bar, sway bar disco's, brake-lines ect.). so here it is.

Choice A: Rough Country 4.5" X-series kit with full packs and the nice shocks (the 2.2's or whatever), some 33's, and the new paint. (I've heard good and bad reviews for this kit but bad reviews about the rear leafs and shackles)

Choice B: Rubicon Express 4.5" Super Flex with extreme duty leaf-packs from serious offroad (RE6130) and Rubicon express dual valved monotube shocks (SK010645RXT) and then save up again for tires and paint (in reality it wont take me to long to save for tires and paint, 4 weeks at most) I have not heard a bad thing about RE yet and i met a guy the other day whose had 6 years on his 3.5" RE kit and swears by them.

I'm set on going at least 4.5" and the one thing is that the RE kit is pretty expensive and i could get a few extra things here and there with the RC kit. Let me know what you guys think.

Pics of the hood from being fully sanded to primer. It's not the best priming job but it's good enough.

Thanks man I appreciate it. And you've gotta start somewhere, get that thing on a 3" lift!

Alright after alot of consideration I decided I'll be going with the RE lift. I already purchased a 3" RC aal that is terrible so I'm going to do it right this time instead of wasting more money. I hope to have the lift ordered in the next week or so, just gotta save up like $200 more.

picked up some sliders and started on then with a wire wheel. im going to give them a few coats of primer but i need suggestions on which spray bedliner will hold up the best. ive heard good things about rustoleum's spry bedliner and that it lasts with a good primer coat, but let me know what you think

Don't want to start a debate in your build thread but look at BDS. Price is comparable to RE.

I dont have an opinion on lifts and stuff because I am new to lifts.
But, I really like the build. If you want a sweet semi gloss paint job check out "hot rod flatz" paint. I did my 68 beetle and it was awesome. Pretty easy to do too.
