I've owned bilstein's on a Z-71, Edelbrock IAS on a Grand Cherokee Limited and a variety of other lesser shocks on other vehicles. And these OME Nitrochargers make them all look stupid. They are simply the best shocks I have ever owned. My Jeep rides and handles beautifully on road, a nice cushiony ride that makes washboards seem non-existant. And offroad they walk over rocks and other obstacles with ease. You will not be disappointed, I guarantee it.

Just before you put them on, go for a drive down a bumpy road you usually travel on and take mental notes of how the bumps feel. Then go home and put on your OME's and drive the same path again to see the difference. You will be amazed.
And once they break in with a couple thousand kilometers on them, they get even better.

Have to agree with you there... my old shocks an unknown brand, were hard as, I felt every bump and stone on the road... the OME Nitros are just perfect, they have a softer setting/valving , but are so stable on road and over rocky terrain and off road situations they stay in control and give the XJ a nice sure footed feel... am very impressed !!

This is our master mechanic Steve Campbell working his magic.
This is Pete Campbell, Steve's son. He wanted me to turn my head and cough for some reason??
Pete is grinding the crud off my front brake dust shield getting it ready for paint.
The drivers side all dismanteled with the new bearing just sitting on the spindal.
The passenger side is now disassembled. This was the side with the bad bearing.

We also retorqued the entire Rubicon Express lift kit. We found that both sway bar end link top brackets had come loose, so we locktighted and torqued the hell out of them. They won't be coming loose again!...With the new front bearings, the truck rolls smooth as hell. The whole front end is now nice and tight like a new Jeep. We didn't have a single problem and only had to heat up one bolt on the drivers side bearing. Otherwise everything came apart smooth.

So I have a small update here regarding the Viper 5901 remote start/alarm system.
Talk about a massive headache this thing has given me. Since the day it was installed, I have had random check engine lights, check gauges lights, flashing yellow key lights and beeping. Non starting and dead batteries. It's just been crazy. I have returned to the place I had it installed (Futureshop) multiple times.
The first time I went back was because every time I used the remote start, it would trigger a check engine light. So the guy basically re-wired the whole thing and made some changes to the way it was installed.
The second time I went back was because I was getting dead batteries and flashing yellow key lights on my cluster with beeping and stuff. So he made some more adjustments, which of course didn't fix anything.
Then I went back a third time and had a whole new brain unit installed for the Viper, which just continued to give me the same errors.
So I went back yesterday after being left with a dead battery two days in a row and had the thing pulled out and received a full refund.
I am not a happy Viper 5901 customer.
I think I will try a Nordic Start and see how that goes.

A similar system was put on my wifes WJ by the previous onwer. The only thing that works on it is the remote start after playing with it for 15 min each time we try to use it. It has also locked her out while it was running. Oh and the alarm will not sound. I hate it. I called Viper and have had a tech guy help with the lock out issue and alarm no sound. So far so good but ready to chuck it as well.

Yeah, I am not impressed at all with that viper. I may just not bother with a remote starter all together. Such a pain in the butt that thing was.

Tire Spec: Nokian Vatiiva M/T 31x10.5R15
Hey guys, we just had our first dump of snow in my area. And I just had a blast out driving around in it to see how my Nokian Vativa M/T tires would do. Well...These things are amazing in snow. On hard packed ice they grip like velcro. In deeper snow drifts and mid level banks, they drive through it like it's not even there. In slushy conditions there is no hydroplaning at all. Very sure footed and you have a feeling of complete control. I had BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO tires on last year, and these are a night and day improvement. I am thoroughly impressed.
In the summer, I went through deep beach sand style sand like butter. Just amazing traction. In mid to deep mud, they just walk right through it. And they clean themselves effortlessly. Over rocks and stuff I am as sure footed as a mountain goat.
I really wasn't expecting this. I knew they would be decent in the mud and stuff, but I was worried about winter driving. NOT ANYMORE. I hereby recommend these tires very highly. If you are in the market for tires, trust me...Buy these for your XJ. You will NOT be disappointed.
Cheers.
