so went to the junk yard today to pull a 8.8, i found one with 4.10 and a lsd. got it all the way out but need to go back and cut some bolts off because they are on there. But im not 100% sure I should do the swap. what do you guys thing? my buddy says save the cash and just regear and i think hes right because im going to need alot of stuff for the 8.8 and im going to have to regear the front to 4.10 anyways and theres nothing wrong with my axle

Do you have an 8.25 or D35? D35... chunk it and go 8.8 all the way esp if your ever gonna run 35's. 8.25... compare prices between complete 8.8 swap and building an 8.25. Depending on the costs of each i would pick which one your more comfortable with and would be better long term. So like an 8.25 regear front and rear, locker wouldnt do LSD, and shafts maybe? Then the 8.8 swap with hardware, regear front. So i guess weigh your options and choose whichever works out best. BTW are you ever gonna go up to 35's after the Dura's wear out?
