My First Project Jeep
Got my first XJ last week for $600 240,000 Miles 2000 Cherokee Sport, came with new tires, brakes, bushing, and serpentine belt! Engine and Tranny run great only big issue is the cooling system, so I'm replacing everything to do with it. Looking for a little advice from some XJ vets. I'm wanting to run a 4.5in Lift, is there anything I need to know about using that, and what's a good wheel and tire size to properly fill the lift. Also is there anything else I should replace early on into owning the jeep to avoid later problems down the road? Frame and rocker panels appear to be rust-free and will be cleaning up the body and undercarriage to confirm everything is as expected and fix anything that might have rust.

Welcome to the forum! Read up on the 0331 head, it is a common problem on 2000 and 2001 4.0s. The CPS may be worth replacing with a Mopar sensor before it causes any issues. BTW RockAuto has parts a LOT cheaper than auto part stores plus they always have discount codes and the parts are usually better quality.

Welcome to the forum.
Personally IMHO that blue is the best color for XJ's.
Looks like a great starting point.
