time to dust this off. havent posted anything in a while, or even been on here. i got a new cb....general lee. also a 5 ft firestik... and i bought some of kris froehlich's retrofit projector headlights and put them in with 6000k bulbs with ddm tuning 55 watt ballasts powering them. what a difference..... its not scary driving at night anymore! and when properly adjusted, i dont blind oncoming traffic! awesome stuff.

good cutoffs too! cant say how much i love these things! worth every cent.
oh yea.....picture spam!!!!
high beams
and cool looking cutoffs in the fog. haha.
also took it up to emporium pa on a hunting trip, and found some trails...maybe....
and so it continues. nothing too new done really. but we did get a sweet snow storm here, and of course out in it the whole time. love snow.

thanks man. i havent kept up with it. it was kinda getting to be just me posting pics for myself haha. thanks for the compliments. motivates me again!
those projectors are awesome, although i swapped them to my red cherokee which sees 100 miles a day. 6 days a week. and yea. it was loud when i just swapped the muffler to the thrush welded....but got louder when the cat guts flew out (literally, i didnt do it on purpose), and then louder with a "replacement" straight pipe...."cat". but by far jumped the most in sound and sound quality when i did the camshaft, got the head rebuilt with the 5 angle valve job, and put the headers on. but in that video the 6th cylinder is running at only 75 psi, did all that work to the top end, but neglected the piston rings and now only runnin on 5 boom booms instead of 6 boom booms.
thanks for the compliments guys.

sooo. now im thinking of swapping a 5.2 out of a grand w/ the tranny and all. can get a 96 GC for 400$ wrecked....running w/ about 100k miles. anybody have experience with this swap? i kinda need this jeep for this winter and would like to get it done soon. and just to make it clear, its either a 4.0 shortblock going back in, or a 5.2. not a 350, not a 5.9 not a ls, or not a 5.3....5.2s are cheap, readily available, and still with 300ftlbs of torque, it makes quite a bit more then the 4.0. anybody ever do this or hear of anyone doing this?

got some updates. got the wiring all sorted out for the most part. got the 5.2, 44re and np249 out of the zj, along with the gas tank and anything else worth while. got the 5.2 runnin as a stand alone unit ready to drop in. just did basic stuff to it. new alternator, water pump, cap, rotor, plugs, p.s. pump. stuff like that.
then pulled the 4.0, aw4 and np242 out of my xj.
next up.... plop the 242 onto the 44re, line it up in the engine bay, figure out which trans mount i need to use, then drill new holes for the 5.2 motor mount brackets on the frame. then swap gas tanks out....and should be good.
