Bought myself a present today
I went to the only large lot that I could think of where I knew the light wouldn't bother anyone at 2am (the MARC station behind Target for you local guys), and I wired it up to see how effective it is.
Well... It was illuminating clouds overhead when I turned it on, and it lit up half the lot including the distant end once I pointed it forward. Unfortunately, the kindly police officer who sat and watched intently as I set it up decided it needed to be put away. He was polite, at least.
I didn't get a chance to take pictures with it lit up, but I'm hoping I may be able to mount Friday night (if the club is willing to sacrifice some time).
Very satisfied with it.
Oh, it's a 30" Aurora bar (Rigid clone), and I picked it up for $400 new in box with all the wiring set up and a cheap light cover.
30"
300W (60 x 5W LEDs)
16,800 lumens
12.7 amp draw
1,550m distance
IP68 certified
Lexan lens
Included switch and relay, all wired up with weatherproof plug

"A" on the map is Target with their parking lot to the left. Genstar Dr (just North) goes into the large parking lot to the right which is for public transit. It's back behind Target's loading area, down a hill, so it isn't interfering with anyone who might be around, and I parked next to the center island in the northernmost row, about 500ft from the building.
Thanks, buddy.
Bumper. I went with a 30" cause it'll fit perfectly on a stubby bumper. The mounts are just a hair wider than the frame rails.

Gentlemen! (And possibly ladies )
I come bearing information.
First off, it's December 1st. If you're familiar with my last two Jeeps, you know what that means:
I decided to go with a little subtlety this year. They wrap around the frame, so the only ones seen in the day are on the bumpers. It lights up the ground and wheel wells at night, much like (in hindsight) festive Underglo. Ricer!
In news that excites me much more, I did some troubleshooting. A new fuse and a clean ground, and here we are:
Headlights:
High beams:
Light bar:
Light bar+Low beams:
Light bar+Highs:
Most importantly:
OEM fog light switch to operate the light bar. LED operates on its own harness; not the fog light circuit. I'm only using the switch.
