Hammered down the bent light bracket and got it aimed. I'll keep the new one as a spare.

No lights:

Headlights:

Light bar (no headlights):

I also adjusted my headlights a little to bring them down. I didn't really aim them cause I found that I'm missing a couple screws...

Also got my CB install started. I've had the ashtray out for a while, and I got that bracket drilled, cut, and filed for the radio (with help from my buddy Joe). It's installed, but I didn't get the antenna mount til later today. Might get it all finished by tomorrow evening, weather dependant.

Then we went to Chipotle

Finished the CB install today at Joe's place, and we got his radio regrounded. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Also figured out what the black box on my firewall is... and removed it:

Thanks, buddy. I'd still like to shorten the coax when we have some time to meet up. It's currently bundled on the floorboard.

That is a good spot. Looks clean.

Was thinking about moving mine to the front but don't want all that extra wire

Thanks, fellas.

Today I took off the Christmas lights, shimmed my CB in the bracket so I can read the display, installed my microphone hangar, and mounted my external speaker. Going out with the SWR meter now to tune my antenna.

More fun!

I hit a tree at about 15mph on my way out of work last night. There's a circle we have to drive around on the way to/from the security gate, and the Navy guys didn't salt that section "because it's cold outside." But they didn't tell me that when I was leaving...

The roads were just wet enough to fill in the texture in the asphalt when it froze. The only time I've ever driven on a surface that slick was a dirt road with an inch of ice on it. Brakes did absolutely nothing. Didn't even make noise when I was sliding. I could hardly walk when I got out to look at the damage, and I grew up in a winter environment.

So one of the Marines came running toward me, screaming that I damaged their tree, and he slipped and busted his ***. He stood up, walked calmly to me, and we discussed what happened. Mostly cosmetic damage on the Jeep, and I didn't take any bark off their precious tree.

So here's what I can tell:
- Crumpled, torn fender
- Shattered flare
- Inverted shackle (same one that was inverted when I bought it)
- Bent sway bar link
- Crushed shock
I think that's all.

No curbs on the installation. They aren't pretty and natural.
