They probably thought hey, they'll look at something else when they come. Dealership people suck like that sometimes. I used to work at two of them. The first place was fair but the second one was crooked in their used sales.

So we left at 7am, drove 3.5 hours to one dealership to look at an LJ. Drove another hour east to look at the really nice LJ. Got there, and they told us it was just delivered to their other location. We drove there and were told it was initially taken in on trade with a buyer already lined up, and that it was never available publicly.
So we drove back to the first dealer, sat down to do paperwork, and the lady who handles loans at my gf's bank went home right after she told us to fax the paperwork. Couldn't get anything done, so we drove home.
We spent 14 hours driving across three states, and we accomplished absolutely nothing. Oh, and it was her birthday.
I'm at work today and tomorrow, so the YJ is sitting, near completion. I have the 8.8 in, brakes are bled, wheels are on. I need to add fluid and check the rear DS length (since I had it made for the D35). I also need to buy shocks, but I'm waiting til I decide on mounts. And of course I need to put the new D30 in the front, but I'm not quite ready to do that yet.
