But they wouldn't look as cool.
Which is stickier, cut boggers, or wet boogers?

Filled up the Jeep on Sunday. By the time I stopped to eat in the next parking lot over, I had fuel pouring out both sides of my skid plate. Stayed home from work yesterday to find the problem.

Dropped the tank, and there's a little ~1/4" hole right about where the strap sits. I picked up some JB Weld Waterweld with low expectations, but it seems to be holding to the plastic tank. While everything was down, I sanded the straps, ground the rust off the inside of the gas tank skid, and threw on a fresh coat of primer.

Got it all put back together around 1am, and I went to test it. I filled the tank, ate for about 20 minutes, and drove it home. No leaks yet, so we'll see if it's still holding when I go downstairs to leave for work.

New problem: Fuel gauge always reads Full

The patch is temporary cause I don't trust products like that. I also don't trust a 23 year old gas tank that mysteriously sprouted a hole. My options are a replacement tank and a better skid ($600) or a 23gal fuel cell that fits in the back ($700). You know where I'm leaning...

I know.... well... it's not broke per se, just no one else can see it but me 'cause I tried sharing it out of a "sharable" google photos folder. Apparently they wanted to make sure no one could hotlink photos from their servers anymore. I get it, but it's annoying as hell. And Picasa is no more so the links I have still work, but I can't hotlink any additional pics.

I called GenRight to ask them a couple questions about the fuel cell and how to properly install it. We started talking about our YJ builds, and I accidentally read off my credit card information during the conversation. Sooo I guess I'm gonna use a cell

One in stock, and it's being shipped today. They offered to split the shipping price with me, but he withdrew that offer when I asked about their military discount. He was able to swing a deal for me, and I'm getting the 23-gal cell with a new fuel pump gasket shipped to my door for a few dollars more than the fuel cell's list price.

I'm planning to move my subs forward to fit the 11" wide cell up against the tailgate. Should fit perfectly based on my measurements.

Not likely. My steering is loose, and I'm leaking trans fluid again. If the fuel cell gets here in time, I'll be installing it this weekend
