I too sourced my flange adp. At wrecking yard , I got mine off an aero star van .
I get the open over LSD diff . thing
the prop valve really only makes a difference under hard braking so ists not necessary, but recomended

Don't know if it helps but this is the receipt from my bastard joint that fits the 8.8 w/o replacing the flange on the rear end. Part number & everything is on there. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...F693AFA85F.jpg

The way i understand it this is partially true - the ratio of braking force is different under hard braking. The other part is though that the XJ valve retains some residual pressure in the line for drum brakes, which when used with discs can cause them to drag a bit.

Got my 8.8 flange and new drag link painted on Friday:

Now for an AWESOME UPDATE!

Brown Dog Mounts are in! No more sheared motor mount bolts for me!

I think it was time to change this one out...butt dyno says I gained many torques by swapping the mounts out!

So...install issues and thoughts...

First of all, these mounts are REALLY well built. Everything came packaged so well it must have been done by someone like me with an extreme case of OCD. Bolts were separated out into little bags and labeled with contents and what they were for. Instructions were excellent with awesome labeled color photos.

Drivers side went relatively easily - hardest part was getting the previously un-used threaded holes in the block cleaned out enough to thread the new bolts all the way in. Used a 3/8" wire brush and some PB Blaster to loosen and extract as much gunk as possible. Plenty of room to access this side.

Passenger side presented some issues.
1) Space is TIGHT with the A/C system still in place...i should have ripped it out long ago.
2) Coil needed to be removed, and the bracket reversed to position the coil away from the block and forward of the original position (rear most corner of the coil was hitting the bracket. It's a PITA to get the bolts threaded again but i got them with a bit of swearing and persistence. I combined all the grounds on the same bolt to avoid any issues grounding thought the bracket/block.
3) Front 2 bolts are currently uninstalled. These bolts share share the holes with the alternator bracket. Once the new super mounts are in place there is no way to install the bolts without removing the alternator. There was no mention of this in the instructions - a little heads up would have been nice...
4) This is the biggest issue i encountered - one of the bolts (top left bolt that was used by the original mount) i could not get threaded in due to the increased bolt length - the head was catching on the frame rail support bracket. Ended up using a rotary burr to clearance the bracket enough to slide the bolt head by. Again - no mention that this would be an issue.

So impressions? Well they look super sexy and beef. Noticeable increase in torque/power getting to the ground, mostly due to the mounts being intact i'm sure . More vibration at idle for sure, but not annoying in any way. I also don't get any movement in my shifter anymore, and feel much more confident taking off from red lights/stop signs.

Would I buy again? Absolutely without a doubt. Worth every penny.

I've panic stopped my xj a few times no issues . As far as wearing rear pads I guess your mileage will vary I've seen/smelled no evidence of pad drag. My swap has been done for 8 months .

Nice! Been thinking strongly about swapping in an 8.8. Not loving the Detroit out back
