welp looks like i need a new clutch. Starting to slip in 3rd/4th so the friction material must be gone...
Guess i can't complain much...I've never changed the clutch and it's been well over 100k since i got the truck

found a good deal on a brand new APN header. Finally will be replacing it soon - it's been cracked since i got the truck. Recently the cracks must have opened up and now the o2 sensor is reading lean so the truck has been running rich as hell, complete with check engine light - which is quite annoying.
Gonna also grind down some of the interior welds since a couple are restricting the exhaust flow.

No, I don't lick fish.
I think this is probably why my jeep is running so rich and the gas mileage is so much worse than when I first got it. Replacing the o2 with an NTK didn't help much although it did make it idle a little smoother.

Gave the jeep it's last oil change before 300k, re-installed my front driveshaft, and topped up my diff fluid.
Also found (one of) my exhaust header cracks

Have you ever used seafoam to detect leaks in the exhaust? I've heard it's a pretty good tell-tale.

I can't remember where I read it, thought maybe it was JP Magazine, maybe not... but it's not smoke that's the tell-tale on it, it's the liquid - it supposedly will actually "liquify" back onto the surface that it is leaking out of. I'd imagine your exhaust couldn't be too hot though or it would just evaporate/burn off again. Just didn't know if anyone had ever tested this.
