Sorry to hear, but glad they didn't may off with it! I know the feeling thou. My jeep got jacked from my local gym parking lot in broad day light a few years back. They busted my passenger side door lock, just like yours. The thieves left a running wrangler in ist my jeeps spot that had been stolen just 4 hours before mine. Bastards were out joy riding!! Got mine back 3 days later with hardly damage. Some interior damage, the door and the steering column. But that was about it

Put a dip switch in series behind the fuse box.
Jeeps have no security at all.
Don't leave anything valuable in them. (or get a lock box bolted to the floor)
It's pretty common for me to break into the jeep in my school parking lot and turn off their lights. I know pretty much everyone here with an XJ and my keys works on almost everyone.
I would try and steal that jeep too.

Thanks bud. I sold the stockers on Craigslist quite a while ago.
Thanks for all the concerns everyone! I'm in the hunt for a color matching door... I'm sure finding my color is gonna be tough.

Thats one of those times when you wish you could have caught the A$$holes in the act, put a two in their chests and one in thier heads and when the cops show up just say they tried to attack you with what ever they were using to punch out the lock!
Sorry about your Jeep!

Sorry about the break in bro! Nothing is worse than thieves!!
Your pinion angle adjustments both from and back are awesome!! I think you know more than some of my local offroad shops!! I got some vibes in the front right now as well. I know because I got the rear shaft out waiting on my Tom woods and my shims to arrive on Wed. I put the 4.5" RC Long Arm kit on mine. But it has adjustable UCAs too! So I'm gonna follow your lead and do the same stuff.
Another question. I did a rugged Ridge SYE and after putting the speedo gear stuff into the housing my speedometer does not work. Stays at zero. So I removed it to make sure I hadn't grinder the gears away. Phew! Luckily it was all still perfect. The speedo gear is stock. What do I need to do to make it work. I know it will be off because I put 33"s on, stock reared gears. But shouldn't it work with the stock speedo gear?
Once again bro, I know a lot of people use your thread for help! That's how I did my SYE!! Instructions had like two pics!! WTF! Haha thanks again for all your time and effort of such a good build thread.

Luckily, it's mostly cosmetic issues and I already found a replacement door of the SAME color for $100 on Cragislist!

As far as the speedo gear is concerned, yes, it should work. You have to be sure the gear is seated properly into the tailshaft housing of the TC. The same exact thing happened to me when I initially reassembled mine. You really have to work/push that thing in there, it doesn't just plop in.... at least mine didn't. A little elbow grease is required. Just be mindful of the o-ring, they have a tendency to get damaged upon frequent removal/reinstallation especially if it is the orinigal.
It also might be a good idea to go ahead and purchase an o-ring to replace the factory one when you do get the new speedo gear as the factory o-ring is prone to failure and leaking.
Otherwise, I really don't have any specific instructions on how to install that thing, it's just one of those kind of things that you gotta play with until it fits in properly.
Let me know if you have any other questions and keep us posted...

Yep! Broke the o ring last night actually when I checked the speedo gear.. Ugh. Due for a new one anyhow! You have the part number for that o-ring by chance or know who stocks them? If not that's cool! Thanks for the response!!
