No dice! The JY didn't have anything for me. There was one trim piece that matched, but it looked like it had also befallen the same fate as mine. It was gouged up pretty bad.
No insurance money. Unfortunately I don't have comprehensive coverage for my Jeep. I have 3 vehicles and full coverage on all of them gets kind of pricey so the Jeep only has liability coverage.
It's a tough road, but nothing the XJ can't handle

Just spent 3+ (!) hours reading this thread from page 1...it. is. epic! Had to register and let you know that I appreciate the great info/details/pics and the great build!
My 2nd XJ, but first time doing mods/wrenching...my uncertainty has been replaced with excitement and I can't wait to get started. Thanks!

Well guys, have some news. I recently purchased my first home and decided to sell the XJ.
I won't have any time to enjoy the Jeep as I will be busy with projects around the new house. Rather than let it sit, taking up space and continuing to pay insurance for it, I posted it up on Craigslist. Plus, a little extra cash will help offset all the money that is hemorrhaging out of my checking/savings account right now.
It was posted on 10/4 and the interest level appeared to be very high from the amount of emails in my inbox that came through. I was able to come to an agreement with the FIRST person who came to take a look at it. It was sold the next day, 10/5. He was a fellow car/Jeep enthusiast and knew the platform well so I am sure it is in good hands.
I have since deleted the Craigslist posting, but in typical fashion, wanted to post some last pictures so you guys could see how she looked when it left my possession.

Bummer dude, I'm going to miss reading your build. Glad you sold it quick, it makes sense, that was prolly the nicest jeep on this site in my opinion. Congrats on the house, and good luck with the projects. Hope you own another jeep soon!

Rear sway bars don't really do much. The leaf springs do the work of the rear sway bar so its not really needed. Especially when you install an upgraded kit like that. If it makes any difference, the instructions for my Rubicon Express lift say to throw out the rear sway bar.
