Thanks! I'm mostly excited to stop throwing money away on leasing a condo and start building equity in a home.
But, I was sad to see the XJ in my rearview mirror as I left it behind at the new owner's house. I put A LOT of hardwork into that Jeep!
Don't mind at all. Asking price was $5800 and I let it go for $5500.
Sorry See above post for $$
Don't make me here guys. Me either. I had no intentions of selling it, but it just kind of made sense right now where I'm at in my life.
Honestly, I may miss all the posting and sharing a bit more than the actual Jeep itself. You guys here on the forum are really what gave me the motivation to continue modifying and posting everything up and I have enjoy sharing every moment.
Nicest Jeep? I don't think so. Most pictured? Maybe
I will certainly be reinvesting in another Jeep. And I'm sure my second go around with the XJ platform will be bigger and better!
See below...
Thanks for all the comments guys! This isn't the end, just taking a break for a while.

Rear sway bars don't really do much. The leaf springs do the work of the rear sway bar so its not really needed. Especially when you install an upgraded kit like that. If it makes any difference, the instructions for my Rubicon Express lift say to throw out the rear sway bar.

I eagerly await the start of your NEXT XJ build thread.
Congrats on the house - it's better being a homeowner. More headaches, more work, and definitely more reward.

Hey one last question. I'm looking at getting the RC shackle relocation brackets and I was wondering if you know how much lift you gained out of them and did you get new shocks for the rear? Also, I can't remember if you got a custom DS made for your SYE or if you just used a stock front XJ shaft. If you did get a custom one made, did it still work with the little extra lift you got from the relocation brackets? I also have a 4.5 inch lift, but I have a 1.5 inch lift shackle with a 3 inch AAL. Thanks!!

I did not get new shocks. The shocks I had were designed for 4"-6" of lift and although I was probably nearing their limits in the rear, they were operating just fine. Additionally, I had previously installed the RC BPE's which lowers the mounting location for the shock. This permitted a bit more shock travel.
As for the SYE, technically I used both a stock front XJ driveshaft and a custom driveshaft. I used the stock front XJ shaft to get around town while I was waiting for my custom shaft to be built. I did not have any problems with the custom shaft after the addition of the shackle relocation brackets or lift shackles. There was plenty of travel left in the slip-joint.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

When I installed the shackle relocation brackets, I also installed some 3/4" lift shackles. So, I can't say for sure how much lift came from the brackets alone. All I can tell you is that when it was done, my rear was lifted about 2-2.5" more.

Hi everyone, I'm one who bought Steve's Cherokee, I got it for my sons first car. It is definitely well put together. I was going to buy a stock one and do the build myself, but once this came up I figured, "Hey I don't have to do all the work now!"
So now I will focus on engine mods and detailing. Here's what it will be partnered with.

I will be sure to maintain all the links to the pictures. As for my next XJ, probably not until next summer at the earliest.
