Yep! .....such a cool build! Now for your next task: take it wheeling and post some more pics. I will let you put your exo on first if you want.

Great looking build, man. I love the exo. Nice to see that there are some real XJs on the Front Range, and not just on the Western Slope!

Finally got my C-Rok steering bracket in. The frame was soooooo cracked and it sounded horrible when steering. Now it's silent and strong as hell!!

What is the biggest reason to put in a durango box? Mine is stock and I can steer with my pinky.

with oversized tires? on rocky trails?

the durango box has a much bigger power cylinder than the stock XJ one, so it is stronger and a good upgrade if you go to bigger tires (or blow your stock box seals like I did).

I'm goin PSC when I can afford it. New box and pump/heat sink runs about $700. Ouch. Oh and yes we wended up the major cracks and ground flat so the bracket fit flush. This is one of the best products I have installed on the XJ. Great instructions and pretty easy to install despite my dreading it for a while, it went smooth.

Couldn't you just make a template and cut out some 3/16-1/4" sheet metal and do the same thing or is the bracket cheaper?

agreed. Although drilling out the holes for the sleeves was kind of a PITA with just my little dremel.

the outside one...probably yes. The inner one has spacers welded on as well.

Both are VERY well made and fit perfectly - I was very impressed.

Guess the spacers would make that a pita. How far out could you go before needing the durango box and bracing. I mostly am going to be running wherever I can and might go to r.c. once or twice when im finished. Like I only plan on running 31x10.5

you should be fine with the stock box. I only replaced mine because I blew the seals, so I upgraded at the same time.

Omni paint. It's made by PPG. The stuff is brilliant.
