mmm bottom end. Have you checked the flexplate bolts aren't hitting the inspection cover or the flexplate is cracked? Can you only hear it at idle? What happens if you stand on the brakes with it in gear and rev it a little? Does the sound go away?

I have checked all the bolts on the flex plate, and they're all tight. I haven't ruled out a cracked flex plate yet.

Alright, so regarding the sound in the bottom end...
I unplugged all of the fuel injectors one by one as the engine was running and the knock went away at cylinder 6.
So I believe the issue may be a rod bearing. I'm going to try rolling in new bearings to see if the problem goes away before I completely re-build the thing. Maybe it's not scored too bad yet.

It's a slow day today, so I added more switch spots to my factory toggle switch bezel.
