Just to be clear guys, I'm not downing on aftermarket lines... especially not the braided stainless lines because that's what I'd like to have eventually - what I'm talking about is the RC lines... I've heard more horror stories about those lines than other braided brands and even OEM spec lines... I know ANY part has a chance of failing, no doubt. However, when you hear more and more stories about a part that's BRAND NEW failing and then the company not standing behind them, that's a little more impacting. I'd just kinda rather not risk it in the brake department.
Hopefully you're right though, hopefully the BDS lines are of a higher caliber than the RC lines even though they're both made by Crown.
Goodyear makes tires for WalMart that are still decent tires, but let's face it - the ones that are sold EXCLUSIVELY by WalMart aren't made to the same spec that Goodyear's other tires are built to. Crown may have done the same thing for RC.

I've called many local Jeep and off-road shops asking about whether or not they've heard of stainless steel braided lines failing, and they've all said that while they've heard of it, they've never had a customer come back with them saying they've popped.
All of them also said BDS is a great brand to use.
I'm starting to feel better about these. Failure seems very unlikely.

Converted driver seat from power to manual today:
Also, installed the Hooligan 50-inch light bar brackets to replace the Inspired Engineering ones. They sit lower for a lower-profile on the Jeep. I also removed teh roof rack:

Amazing clean build, I saw on IG you said you were moving away from RC. Why is that? Is their quality that bad and something failed or is it preemptive before something would. I saw what happened to the Pabst Boys build with their brake line on YouTube. Did the same happen to you?

Wow, I just read this whole thing start to finish, and good job man! Such an informational build with constant updates. Once I get another XJ, will definitely be using this thread for help! Keep up the good work, looks great!
