One of the things I'm looking forward to, my DD is a lowered Mazda. I'm not a big guy, and can hardly fit under it with a maxed out jack to change the oil.

Anywho, very nice XJ. One of the cleanest on the site. Subbing to this thread!

Very much easier on the back, for sure.

Thanks!

Awesome Jeep dude! I have a bone stock '98 Sport in the awesome Gunmetal Pearl color as well. No build thread yet, I will create one once I get more mods done (need higher $$ flow and possibly need to go to Jeehab...jeep rehab haha)

Question, how did you go about painting your axles and what materials did you use? Mine will sorely need this after the lift is on.

Thanks bud.

Honestly, a single can of gloss-black spray paint. That's it. And it works well.

When you don't have any good wheeling locations around you, you just improvise:

My favorite part about these kinds of roads is how they make the tread of your tires stand out :P

Friend of mine hooked me up with a roof rack for free from one of those Ford Explorer pickup trucks. It fits perfectly. I plan on installing it soon, here's what it will look like when it's all bolted down (I just set it on top to see what it would look like):

Thoughts?

Thanks! It's nice man. I'm right at level with full-size pickup trucks now and they can't look down at me anymore lol

Went to install the roof rack and it was just a bit too crooked for me. I'm not going to use it.

Yeah, I think that's what happened to it before I got it because it's just so crooked. It doesn't even look good on top of the Jeep anyway in person, because of the round top on the rack. Makes the XJ look like a liberty lol
