PROJECT CHEAPJEEP? I GUESS?
So I bought a Cherokee about a week ago and it is officially my new project
car. I will post some pictures and a list of what I have to do to it. I will try to keep this thread updated as I get things done, although around my schedule(currently in school and Calculus is not easy whatsoever, so basically weekends only). Any suggestions are much appreciated!
Things to do (anything marked DONE! is finished, will post photos as I go):
-Fix floor panels
-Get leaf spring hanger secure (weld)
-Fix rear brake lights
-New CV joints in the front axle
-New rear window-------DONE!
-Put in non-leaky fuel tank
-Replace one or both mirrors
-Might cut the rust off the doors, might not
-Add new light covers
-Fix headliner (droops)
-CLEAN THE INTERIOR (guy I bought it from didn't clean very well)
-Buy an exhaust (currently does not have one)
-Paint diff covers
-Buy tow bar for F150
-TAKE IT WHEELING!
I already have new tires for the front, have to get front ones switched out to match the ones in the rear.
That can is collecting gas as it leaks lol
UPDATE#1:
Finally was able to get the old gas tank off and replace it with a different one from the salvage yard.
Old gas tank out!
New tank prepped and ready to be put in!
Had to break off some J-Bolts to get it off but luckily I had an extra from the salvage yard and the other one I used a coupler nut (will post in technical write up)
No she doesn't leak!
More updates to come!
