Thanks, guys. I'm loving it without the cap.
Since my last post, I went to the JY with pulltabmike. I picked up a new driver side corner marker and passenger side taillight since mine were cracked. Those are now replaced. Also snagged a grille that isn't damaged (being repainted) and a full gauge cluster to replace my idiot lights. I'm not in a rush to do the gauge swap, but I grabbed it since it was there.

sweet man! Nice smoke show. You need to bob that rear bed though lol - that's gonna catch on everything

Nah, it's staying a pickup. I passed on a couple shortbeds so I'm able to haul if I need to. We don't have much crawling around here anyway, and I'll try damn near anything once it's armored.

you'll change your mind eventually i think. Hell...my trailer hitch drags everywhere and it's about a foot shorter in than your bumper.
Colin (MoparManiac) over on NAXJA has an awesome MJ build you should check out. His is a SWB MJ, but same concept (although he went a bit extreme lol).

Did you notice any difference after the seafoam treatment? I'd like to do it as well, but have heard a few negative things about it.

i've never heard anything negative about seafoam. I use it in all my vehicles. You just need to be careful how long you leave it in the oil if you choose to add it to that since it will eat oil seals. Me personally - i just use it though the intake and the gas.

DISCLAIMER: Since everyone keeps saying it, I know you're supposed to hit the deer instead of swerving. I didn't swerve. I hit the brakes to slow down so the impact wouldn't be so bad, and my tires locked up.

There's nothing bad about Seafoam. It's magical stuff. Like dukie said, be careful if you use it in your oil. If you use it in your gas or intake, it only helps. The bad things you hear are from skeptics who don't like the idea; not from actual problems caused by the product.

Turned in my old plates today and finally switched the insurance over. $60/mo cheaper than the XJ. Also stopped by the local Line-X place for a quote. $425 to do the bed. $2500 to do the whole truck. I'm looking at cheaper options now.
