I've had a grinding sound and a really annoying squeak for about a week. Took a look, and we couldn't see anything wrong, so I figured I'd redo my brakes soon.
Then yesterday I was on the highway on the way to my friend's shop, and my truck was pulling to the left. It hit the rumble strip, and I turned the wheel a bit to the right to get off of it. As soon as I got off the strip, the Jeep bucked and almost sent me into the right lane. When I straightened it out again, it pulled hard back to the left.
There was no question that something was wrong, so I pulled over. Brakes were hardly doing anything at that point, so I downshifted and rolled to a stop.

No, I don't lick fish.
Yessir - and thanks for those - got them in the mail on friday
Dadgum dude - sounds like a wild ride... glad you made it okay.

Alright, guys... Broke a c-clip and my axle shaft tried to shake hands with my wheel. Every brake component on that wheel and the spindle are all trashed. I'm gonna swap in a HP D30 cause it's much cheaper than repairing the damage.
This wall of text is my updated list of things to do before I go home in May:
-HP30 with new ball joints
-Finish D44 rebuild (Blast it, weld on the truss, new everything, bedline it)
-Harmonic Balancer and Timing
-Motor mounts (Ordered Brown Dog poly mounts last night)
-Trans mount (Just bought one at Advance. Dealer stopped making them)
-Fix gauges (Just bought senders for my full gauges)
-Rear brake proportioning valve delete (Doesn't work)
-Rear shocks (Mine are original and worthless)
-Sound bar (I can hardly hear music with the windows up, let alone with the doors off)
-Hood vents
-Bored TB (StrokedJeep.com)
-Power distribution block (clean up accessory wiring)
-Interior light (Just bought truck bed LEDs to mount to the roof))
-New brakes all around
-All new fluids
-Squeaky bench (Drives me nuts!)
-D-rings on front bumper (Bumper is 2x4 steel welded between the uniframe rails)
-Cowl intake (Probably from Spectre)
-Exhaust (if timing doesn't fix backfire)

After I get all this done, bring back the bike, get that on the road, buy riding gear, do the Camaro's exhaust, and maybe after I lift the Jeep, I have Project MOLLE and Project Facelift to work on. I'm very eager to start on them, but I don't think I'll get there any time soon due to budgeting. Don't bother asking for details on those yet

Yeah, thanks. I was gonna use my tax return for exhaust on the Camaro and the MJ's D44. Stuff started breaking, so I decided to use it all for maintenance and to knock out dozens of little things.

I'm trying to get stuff done as soon as I can. Brakes and fluids will wait until about two weeks before I leave.
By the end of next week I'm hoping to have the HP30, motor mounts, trans mount, harmonic balancer, timing, and gauges finished.
Problem is I'm working on my friend Tommy's schedule for all that, and I don't have a parts list yet for the D44 rebuild. I'm also waiting on a local guy to get the shackles for the front bumper.
