Getting there... Have the new axle stripped, bought new brakes, and everything is together. Just have to get that last UCA bolt off the HP, install axle, and install brakes. Time for me to get ready for work. Hoping for an evening completion tomorrow.
Edit: Also bought a new distributor while I was getting brake parts. Mine wasn't looking so good.

Axle is in, everything is bolted up, and I can't take it home cause Advance sold me 2WD brake parts. I should've verified...
Going back to Advance tomorrow after work to do some exchanges and returns, and then we'll finish everything up and test drive.
Silver lining of the day: D30 has brand new fluid.

He sold me 2WD rotors, and I didn't check them. The calipers and pads don't fit the 4WD rotors, so I'm wondering if those are also different on a 2WD XJ/MJ. A few weeks ago I bought a new stator (distributor pickup, I think they call it), but I haven't installed it because I'd have to take apart the dizzy. Well I checked my dizzy on Thursday, and every metal surface is green, so I bought a new one.
The new dizzy includes a new stator, so I can return the $70 sensor I bought before. I'm also exchanging calipers and pads, and I'll be turning in several items to refund core charges.
I just got home from work, though, so I'm going to bes in a few minutes.

Rotors are definitely different cause 2WD XJs have studs on the rotors. Caliper and pad year ranges seem to depend on the manufacturer. I'm looking at RockAuto, and some say '84-96, some say '88-92, some say '90-99, etc. Because I said '88 Comanche, I may have somehow gotten parts that won't work on my '96 Cherokee axle. I dunno. Gonna take the stuff back soon, exchange, and see if the new stuff works.

760X started in '96. As for the brakes, I'm hoping Advance has different part numbers. If not, I'm gonna have to try another store. The ones I have won't work.
