If I do a motor swap to anything besides a 4.0L, it's gonna be diesel or carbed. No more testing sensors or working around emissions crap.

Keep in mind carbed engines aren't great for wheeling. They operate best on level ground.

Yeah, I'm thinking of may end up with a diesel if the body lasts long enough. Just something I might eventually be interested in.

Weird following your own vehicle

No idea, honestly. Something smaller to save weight and initial cost.

You'd need a sick amount of lift to run a Cummins, oil pans run way to deep for an XJ swap.

That was a joke lol

Tim, what do your mechanic friend people say about the misfire? Like what could be causing it

Everyone says timing except the one who I'm most inclined to believe. I need to replace my harmonic balancer, so I'm gonna do timing gears, chain, and guide while I'm in there. I'm also replacing my distributor because every metal surface in it is green except on the cap and rotor. Dizzy also contains a sensor that operates as the 'other half' of the CPS.

The one other mechanic friend says exhaust leak. Since my manifold gasket was reused, and my downpipe is mutilated, I wouldn't doubt it. I'm starting with the others, though, because I have the parts.
