150,000 on Friday. Don't question the missing gas needle or the gear indicator always saying R/N.

Gas tank swap, still in progress. Two day project so far, but I'm starting work on the Jeep around 8pm after I get home from work, and I have to be up at 5:30am.

Looks great man. Make sure you have some holes in your gas skid so water and mud doesn't get stuck in there and rust away.

No, I don't lick fish.
Hey, I get a smell of gas in mine every now and then... but I looked under the jeep and see no signs of moisture where it could be leaking. Could it just be coming out through the vent tube? It has been pretty hot here lately.

Thats what i was hoping too....Add to that the fact that i have New England floors ( virtually nonexistent), and i bet i could smell that vent "inside" the Jeep.

Finished the gas tank install. Still need to reinstall the skid plate. Hooked up my CB, antenna, and PA.
CB mounted on passenger-side center
Routed under the bench and through a factory grommet
Antenna bracket bolted through the rear of cab
Trim covers it all up
Rear view
From the front
The antenna is a 4ft Firestik. I planned on mounting it much lower and to the side, but I changed my mind after I ordered it. I'll be replacing it with a 3ft so it doesn't look like an RC car, but for now, it works.

How far does your cb work? Mine sucked and my buddy is a trucker and he showed me a trick. Get a longer cable from the whip to the cb. Then wrap it in a tight coil around a piece of 1" pipe about a foot long. I have done it on all my jeeps since and it works great. It probably doubled the range of my current uniden pro750.
