Thanks man... sorry, missed your comment before.
Thanks! Yeah, that's the other benefit to doing it this way. I've already kicked the two outter pods to the side for more spread. I do think I'm going to end up replacing the two middle pods with spots though. Either that or adding in a single spot in the middle. Would mean having 5 lights up top instead of 4, but they're small enough I don't think it would look goofy.
Nice rig man. You know I always wanted to do that cube light set up. I thought about the curved bar but everyone has it over here theres even a camaro and a charger with them, theyre burning the style. Anyways with the cubes you can always adjust them like to the sides or what not. It looks sick on your rig. Keep up the updates

Man Jeep Beach seems pretty horrible. I mean who would want to drive on a beach with a bunch of other sweet Jeeps and then park and enjoy the beach scenery.... You have a rough life out there. Post plenty of pictures when you get back!

HAHAH!!!! The crowd's a little much, but there's definitely a lot of sweet Jeeps once you get past the ricer JKUs everywhere. Caught the MOPAR "Chief" concept out there last go round. I freaked out a little

Yeah, I'll be up Thursday around 12 at the KOA. Look for a white 2000 XJ. That gives us time to setup camp and then relax a little before the block party starts at 6:30. See ya there!

I know what you mean. I went on the website to see what it was all about and every single picture was a a JKU. Like if you have a XJ, they make you park as far away as possible so that you wont be found in any picture. Kinda sad. But hopefully the weather is good and you have a good time out there.

The JKU section is always filled with standard light bar, nice rims style JKUs. There is a main aisle way and they take up a good junk of one side. Funny thing, it's like a ghost town on that side. In the XJ, TJ, ZJ, CJ sections it's a huge party. Owners shaking hands, tail-gating, crawling under each other's rigs, and a show general comradery.
I'm sure the JKU guys have their comradery. Just seems they haven't quite "fit" in yet. I think once the JKUs get old and people have to start fixing and maintaining them more. They will be more widely excepted. There is just something about meeting and shaking a man's (or women's, PC police edit) hand who has wrenched on the same stuff you have. You almost feel and instant bond with those men (or women, PC police at it again). A brothers in arms type feel.
Basically, Old Jeeps are where the party is!

It's funny, at our PA Jeep show in the summer the JKUs don't get much love. You basically register your Jeep and they park you by model (all XJs together, all ZJ together, etc.) for this big car show.

I definitely love the older stuff than the newer stuff though. I LOVE checkin' out old CJs and FSJs for sure. My dream is to one day find an old Jeepster Commando when I have the money sitting in the bank to buy it. They're really cool, IMO.

Hell yeah man, can't wait! I'm probably going to pull the boys out from school early. Hope to be out your way by about 2 or 3.
Ya know, surprisingly, when I was there last year with mine, I got a lot of love from all models. Even got "whistled at" by a girl driving a JKU (had some kinda whistle sound bite go out over a PA). So it's not a total XJ/ZJ hate fest. Pretty much if you're modded, you get glances. Pretty well-rounded I'd say, but yeah there is the "bro-truck" type crowd that flocks to the JKUs modded with every off the shelf product you can throw on the damn things.
Oh wow... segregation at its finest, eh? That's pretty funny. Would be kinda neat to see a show THAT organized though.

One day man. Gotta make sure she won't break down on me or shake apart on the way up there first!
My Duralast Gold battery is on its way out. Had to throw it on the charger this morning when I got home because it barely wanted to start this morning when I left for work. The speedo needle was freakin' out and going everywhere and gauge for the charging system was hittin' the red line.
Alternator is only a few months old, so I know it's not that. Just wish the battery would have failed BEFORE the warranty expired. I'm 10 days out from the warranty lol... but it's pro-rated for 2 years, so that's a good thing. Guy at the counter today told me they'd give me 50 bucks towards a new one. Can't complain too much.
