My "repair" was a piece of 2x4 and a hammer from the inside of the quarter panel.
Ares fab makes a really nice cut and fold bumper, when I ordered mine at the time it was a little pricey at 420.00, now it's at 550.00..... crazy. If I knew how to weld I would build my own bumpers.

Yeah I figured that's what I'd probably do to fix it. Gonna make my own bumper eventually, but it's on the back burner. I need to get or make a gas tank skid first thing, then frame siffeners, then sliders, then bumpers. That's the plan anyway.

Ouch bro lol... I'm not saying I'm not able to fix the tank... I just said it's not as easy as just banging the dent out. This falls under the category of "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".... the skid being the ounce, repairing the dent being the pound.

Ouch? I was saying you were smarter than the gas tank, that you could figure a way to defeat it at its own crumpling game. Gas tank skids are not cheap though, and making one doesn't seem like the most fun either. Although I know a guy who could get me the plate and weld it for me. Probably pay out the butt for him to do it too though. Maybe just wait till I knock a hole in it and get one of those really nice larger capacity aluminum armored gas tanks.... and now we are just dreaming because I don't have $1000 for a gas tank...
