Thanks all for your feedback and encouragement! I guess I'm due for an update.
My wife noticed the other day why my left rear door "sticks" when opening. The cause: the door trim is separating from the door and catching on the driver's door. I had a few options to fix it.
After reviewing my options of 1) Cutting the door trim so it doesn't catch, 2) Getting new adhesive and reseating the trim on the door, or 3) Remove the trim altogether, I opted for option 3. It's was an easy job - pull the trim and adhesive off.
The final result:
As I discussed this with a friend, he was a bit apprehensive with the idea of taking them off. Now that he's seen the result, he rather likes it - as do I.
One more with a bit more art, a dog, and well, a cutoff deck:
I still want to regear ***** with 4.10s and while I'm at it put an E-Locker in the front since I'd have to change the carrier anyways, but I don't have the funds right now for that. Hopefully I can do that before Christmas.

So, back in February I noticed a squeak somewhere in the rear whenever going over bumps (especially washboard). It was driving me nuts and finally found out what it was after I rode shotgun - it's the spare tire slightly rubbing on the roof rack. It's a relief that it's not something suspension- or body-related, but now I have to figure out how to stop the squeak.

The first thing i did to my xj was take off the trim. mine was discolored and starting to warp. It looks much better. When i first looked at your build i was wondering how long it would take for you to get the trim off! and finally! haha
I also took off the Jeep logo on the front. the cherokee on the sides. i took off where it said 4.0 and where it said 4x4. Looks much cleaner.

THANK THE JEEP GODS U GOT A MANUAL!!! SOOO OVER THE AUTO!! Man I swear there's probablly only like 5% of people on here with the manual tranny. U shouldn't need to re gear tho. I have a 5inch lift with 33s and run stock gears and it pushes them fine.
