The XJ JK 3 link build.

After all that came the first set of 35's I picked up dirt cheap with about 20% tread.
And after that came a rear locker from LOKKA (which had to be warrantied but it was my fault and they still helped me out, talk about service, new one works flawless)
Then a week or 2 after buying the lokka and the tires, I got a dope paycheck and decided it was getting brandy new 35" KM2's
Mounted them that night, wheeled them the next day.
The trip went great jeep was pretty much point and go, Not having bump stops sucked and also costed me a leaf spring.

And yeah I can always keep the wheeling pics coming, usually I have more videos though.
Heres some pics from my second trip out with the jeep, Took it up to mabell.
My father and his 450hp SBF powered wrangler on zuki hill
Heres my buddy and his dope 2 door (He had the red 98 I posted rolling) He and I build together a lot and our rigs are pretty similar.
And heres some videos from that day

Heres a few clips from a run held by NTC at a private trail, this was my first trip out with 35's and the rear locker, I spent the day with my club president and his yj, another one of my clubs members and his jku rubi on 35's, a cherokee on waggy 44's hybrid cage and 37" blue labels and another xj on 40" red labels, tons, doubled all the fun stuff. We had fun following the bigger guys and entertaining the group of fairly stock toyotas from the hosting club.
Heres the xj on 37" Blues
The xj on 40" reds
It was a great time.

Got some things done on the jeep last night, fixed an issue I was having with the rear bump stops, reinforced the track bar mount (axle side), fixed a clearance issue I was having with my limiting straps, made some lower coil retainers and put on new brake hoses, the gmc 1500 hoses weren't long enough so I went with dodge hoses, I had a hell of a time finding info on the dodge hoses so I'll list it below for everybody.
The dodge hoses come off a 97 dodge 3500 4x4, they are shown in pictures with a bracket that dodge uses to locate them and keep them out of the way, You need to get rid of it, a little bit of time with a screw driver carefully prying the part that wraps around the hose and you can remove them (I did this in my office at work with the flat head I use for license plates, Its not hard at all). The picture below will show it. I noticed also that autozone lists the threads for the fitting on the brake line as 3/8's by 20 but a stock cherokee has 3/8's by 24, I got mine at napa and they were the same... maybe its just autozone messing up their info. They also come with banjo bolts for a dodge that guess what... don't fit a cherokee (due to the threads) go ahead and huck those right in the trash, unless you like spare stuff for applications you don't need them for.
Now that you have the brackets off and have discarded the banjo bolts included with the hoses, your going to install them and unless you have 20" travel shocks they are going to be way to long, don't worry its a good thing.
Installed you'll be looking at this. Sorry about the crappy cell phone picture.
I just drooped my suspension and zip tied the hoses to my shocks with slack just in case. It keeps them up and out of the way of debris. It was real simple to install and cheaper (and longer) than most stainless steel extended hoses, my total cost for these was $37.
And for those of you that care heres a picture comparing the gmc hoses and the dodge hoses. Keep in mind the gmc hoses are about 7" longer than stock hoses.I think its a pretty clear difference.

Well I had my big weekend wheeling camping trip of the year this past weekend which was the first voyage for the front suspension being 3 link'd and it was great. The 3 performed flawless. It felt very stable and didn't hop or bind at all. I did pretty much every obstacle you could get to on every trail we hit. My only real issues were I bent my tranny x member (stock) so much that my custom shift linkage wouldn't go into 2wd all the way (just removed it and put it in 2 wheel with a wrench.) My plan for that is a flat belly from the tranny x member to the back of the transfer case and a boostwerks linkage. Also managed to crush my passenger side rocker flat and then tear the bolts from my slider on the passenger side out of the pinch seam. I'm going to cut the rockers and put the sliders in there place. Also gave it some new dents but its all good.
Heres some preview pics.

Started on the rocker upgrade last night.
Went ahead and pulled the slider off.
Then cut the rocker out
Cut down my jcr stage 2 sliders and put them in place and ran a dozen or so 2-3" beads on the top from the rocker to the slider.
No pictures but I sleeved 2 pieces of 1/16" box making them .125 wall and small 1/64" gap should help with crush protection. But anyway I used them to make riggers down to the mid stiffeners and now they feel more solid than the original jcr design.

Well after my trip a couple weeks back I decided to get rid of the stock tranny crossmember since I mangled it at mabell and managed to destroy an already simplified t case linkage. I decided to start with 2x8 box and intergrade a t case skid and a cat skid I was debating about reusing the tomken tranny skid.
So heres how I decided to start, 2 pieces of 2x8 1/4 wall drilled to match my old tomken t case skid bolt holes and also cut open enough room to clear my t case and exhaust also for my amusement I welded my ballistic skull to the cat skid and gave it a little touch below it, unfortunately its not forum material lol.

Then I put in my new boostwerks shift linkage.
After getting the crossmember bolted up I started on a tranny skid instead of using the tomken one, which I noticed was very well bent after taking it off and added some angle on the front to make a ramp kinda think on the front of the crossmember.
On the floor
The tranny skid has a removable plate so that I can take it off to get support the tranny if I have to take the skid off

Well finally got around to installing the summit racing ladder bar I've had in my garage for an eternity today, made up a mount using a jk control arm end for the bushing (for the shackle) and some 1/4" angle to attach it to the jeep. It bolts through the floor in 3 places and sandwichs the floor with another piece of 1/4" plate and also welds to the uniframe rail. Then I made a shackle out of some 3/16's plate. the ladder bar is made of 1.125" tube and directly thread for the heims, I believe its 1.88 wall. All of the heims are 3/4". It even has a fancy adjuster so can preload it a little bit not that it really matters. It doesn't really hang down far the picture just makes it look that way.
After a trip to the gas station I realized that it works just like a ladder bar. Underhard acceleration the rear end of the jeep kind of perks up just like it should and it no longer has that typical soft spring squad in the right rear like you usually get out of a cherokee.
