Meh..ill start a build thread so you all know when I sell it in 2 weeks. As always, a walk through history of all the things ive owned and sold for profit and eventually end up regretting it. 2009-10ish I bought this thing (88 XJ bone stock)

Kept it for a year or so, painted it, swapped in a D44, gay lift, etc. Sold it looking like this:

Size: 308.8 KB

Went and picked up this right before the 88 sold:

Threw a RE 4.5" lift and some JK wheels/tires on it. This is what it looked like before i traded it for a toyota:

I went full potato for a while:

Size: 435.0 KB

Sold the Toyota, bought this heap of **** with like 80k on it.

Did some dumb stuff to it:

Size: 74.4 KB

Traded it for an equally dumb TJ:

Size: 76.1 KB

Sold the TJ and pocketed lots of Benjamin's. Bought my first 2 door:

Decided it was too tall, lowered it:

Name: IMG_2462_zpsa1b2899b.jpg
Views: 705
Size: 140.7 KB

Sold the 2 door to pay for my wedding, went a while with no Jeep and eventually went full potato again and bought a WJ:

Name: IMG_3436_zpsbe10b512.jpg
Views: 697
Size: 71.8 KB

Traded the 99WJ for this 91 YJ (full grandpa style)

Wheeled the YJ until its near death encounter, pictured here:

Size: 76.0 KB

Sold the hard top, hard doors, and had like 1900 bucks in the YJ, traded for this thing:

Sold for 5k, so made about 3 grand off the YJ, decided to build a stocker:

Size: 64.0 KB

Bought some things:

Got an offer to trade for a mint 4.0 TJ..of course I did:

Size: 136.9 KB

Sold the TJ for 7k, making another 2500ish off this deal, bought this pile:

Thing sucked with the welded rear and worn suspension, sold it for what I had in it..found this cherry and bought it with thoughts of building it:

Name: 20150226_072259_LLS_zpszz47cule.jpg
Views: 676
Size: 109.4 KB

Bought lots of parts for it, and ended up trading it for a big dumb nissan:

Name: IMG_20150426_191216_zpsp7ifpv5z.jpg
Views: 703
Size: 684.5 KB

Traded the nissan for a rusty YJ..cut all the rust out with help of a buddy, put armor on it:

Name: Smurf%20YJ_zpswmvecmst.jpg
Views: 690
Size: 80.7 KB

Traded the YJ off for an 01 XJ with some garbage on it:

Name: 01XJ_zpsuwg2ngu5.jpg
Views: 686
Size: 76.6 KB

Traded the XJ for a nicely built TJ (4.88s, locked front and rear, etc etc):

Size: 118.8 KB

Sold the TJ in August of 2015 and have been "Jeepless" since..aside from the 2007 Commander that was my wifes DD..We traded the Commander in on black friday for a 2016 KL Latitude (Wifes DD)

Up until yesterday (2/21/2016) ive been just sharing a vehicle with the wife since I work second..Decided that wasn't going to cut it any longer, which brings us to today...

Not really sure what I plan on doing with it, but I do plan on actually keeping it..I will be spending a lot of time cleaning it thoroughly (already started) and putting some miles on it to see what it may need.

The passenger rear lower quarter has a rust hole about the size of a small fist..I plan on just cutting the entire lower quarter out and welding some steel up underneath to keep water out for good, then just cutting/folding up the driver lower quarter.

Good, that was the intention.

I wanted to document it somewhere before I actually forgot it.

Sitting here (Buffalo NY) reading your list of trades, buys, sells, etc I can't understand how you parted with all those XJ's that are in such pristine condition (compared to what we have here). i'd die to have one of those that aren't riddled with rust holes...... I hope you hold onto this one for a while. Looks good, a bit tall though. How much lift is in it?

6.5

35" km2s

Back over the last 5 years XJs around here have been everywhere, clean lifted or stock for the 2500-4500 range..
However over the last 12 months they have really thinned out. I was lucky enough to have a buddy who bought this as as second vehicle and never drove it..he agreed to hold it for me since I told him id give him full asking price on it.

haha. I hear that a good bit. Im extremely OCD, and very particular about my vehicles. I grew up watching my grandfather do frame off restorations on older cars and always envied his work he did. I also remember him detailing vehicles after he retired and helped when I could. I try to always maintain a level of being able to eat off the floors clean haha.
