"yellow disaster" build
This will be my secound build first one that i will tell step by step as i go.
okay here is the reason for the build.
my 87 the firt jeep ive ever owned or wheeled in or built it about to blow up
i look on craigslist and find what i need a donor motor
so i go buy it well i was not going to have the motor swaped in time for the fourth (of july) so i took the 88 to badlands.
i there fell in love with it.
its cool body is screams trail rig
but the real reson is the welded d35 broke and sheared the teeth off the spider gears.
the 87 has a dana44 with limited slip so im swaping rear ends and add the lift off my first build on to the new one
the specs are before build
the specs of the 88 (yellow disaster)
extremly cut fenders
2 inch spring blocks
crapyly done aal leaf rear
block under rear leafs
closed cooling system switched to open system
hillbilly cold air intake
rolled over once
fan on switch
hillbilly offroad front bumper
right rear window busted out for easy axcess into hatch area
axles dana35 rear and dana30
welded dana35
really nice sounding motor
the specs of the 87
stock fenders
4.5" rc lift
aal rear
closed cooling system
stock airflow
awesome body
stock front bumper
axles dana44 and dana 30
rear is locked
knocking motor
plan
take lift off of the 87 and put it on to the lift on the 88 so it will be roughly 6" lift
swaping rear end
regear and lock front and rear
swap hatches
weld my winch were the rear seats would be (and will run cable up to the front)
weld a tool box holder in to the rear
switch t-cases
put driver door back on ( or rollcage with tube doors)
wire cb
wire radio with speakers
bolt a holder for farm jack and spare on roof
paint allbody bright yellow
paint axle tubes yellow and dif covers red or have arb covers on and paint JEEP on the doors and then the AMC logo on the hood
Any questions feel free to ask

third i will not finish it for awile bc after i get the 87 tore down im goin to put all the parts in the garage with the 88 and will be going to work with my dad in missiouri so ya but here is what me and my buddy got done today its not much bc i had to work at my job now till late and had like no light and it was like only an hour of work
got the t-case skid plate off completely and got the rear driveshaft off also started to take front driveshaft off so i could take the t-case out but two of the bolts holding it in to the front axel are rusted on so i soaked it with pb and hopefully they come right off and the linkage is the same thing so ya and i got a few pics this time
