Coil buckets were to wide for my 2" offset brackets at axle width. Had to make my own out of ¼ plate. But using the retainer from the Barnes bracket

Test flex. Only had it up 20" that was all the higher I felt comfortable with going with a jack under the tire

Ran out of clearance in the rear. Still need to cut the body for clearance. Only about ½ of total flex at this height

After some prying and pulling I was able to get the 249 split. The 231 was a lot easier to get apart. To my surprise the guy I bought it from had put a 6 planetary gear in it. And luckily it was the same as my 249 input. Put it all back together and ready to put in. I had to order some new case to tranny studs. Couldn't get the ones out if the 249 without messing them up.
