100k service
All original 96 Grand limited 5.2 with 86k going in for check up and preventive maintenance- Any thing else besides- tune up, belts, water pump? Mechanic mentioned something with the throttle body and also transmission service.
Cost is really not a factor and I want her to be trustworthy for long distance trips to the river far from phone service.

Definitely tune up, belts and trans service. If you can afford it might as well have the water pump too. Any idea what with the throttle body? Replacement or just cleaning? Maybe a fuel filter and pump too, although pumps can be pricey. I'm not sure if a fuel pressure test can give insight into the reliability of the current pump, maybe someone else can help with that. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, hope it helps.

Old fart with a wrench
A complete careful disassembly and cleaning of the throttle body is a good idea. Use care removing the screws holding the sensors in. They have Locktite on them and may need a little heat or tapping on the side with a small hammer to loosen them.
