1994 jeep GC laredo 4x4 v8 5.2 l shifter only works in park, reverse and neutral
I have sufficiant transmission fluid. No smoking or odor. Park. Reverse and neutral work fine. D.D2.& D1 aren't working. What can I do???????

If you want my opinion, you have a pinhole leak in a cooling line that sprayed on the exhaust, causing the smoke. When your trans ran out of fluid, you toasted the clutches. JMHO.

O.k thanx. But when you say toasted do you meen burnt. Because my fluid is red and I have no sent. Also what can I do about it

My advise is to get it checked out by a professional. That means a tow job.
