I see what you are saying. Thats good! You have another new probably good TPS installed now hopefully with this one...

Definitely yes. By disconnecting the battery alone, it is possible for the PCM and the other modules need to perform an adjustment re-learning to set all of the parameters back to normal. Things definitely were not running good recently, and the system may have been trying to adjust to this poor running. This could be evident by way of the O2 sensor code appearance. These things could all be adjusting to normal with the new TPS (and from how it ran with the other ones being in it lately).

Being if it has continuing idle issue reappear, I would start suspecting the IAC more now as a reason. I would be testing it to see.

I think I got sidetracked? I meant to also mention a shorted out O2 sensor wire can mess with the air/fuel ratio. A short in the wiring here may also cause electrical problems that effect other components in the systems. This could produce unussual s/s that may be difficult to repair or fix, since the short in the O2 sensor wiring is what needs fixing.

How long would you give this learning curve?

When it gets better, it seems ok, but it's scary when I'm on getting on the highway and giving it gas isn't getting new to merging speeds.

Regarding the IAC being the issues, I just put a brand new one in yesterday. My previous one I took out yesterday was LITTERED with carbon build up and I couldn't even press it in if I tried.

Lastly, with the O2 sensor, I'm interested in fixing that, but missed with my last post (link in previous reply) I was unsure if it was actually an O2 sensor issues or something else triggering O2 sensors because I had 6 codes. Now it looks like I only have the 1 unless my sensors aren't all ready yet.

****, this is what I was nervous about as I don't have anyone that does electrical. I wouldn't even know what to look at, where, or anything.

The IAC housing.

Inside of the IAC housing where the plunger goes through.

The learning curve of the PCM should ussually only be brief. I had a dead battery once that when after I jump started it.. It stalled. Then, I had to keep my foot on the accelorator some for two to three more start-ups, before it became a non-issue. Something like that. Sensor code readings may take longer to go away, but drive-ability should quickly return back to normal.

I put a picture of my IAC valve housing assembly, showing deposits. It sounds possible that after running it if you continue having an issue with idle on re-starting, that it could be getting hung-up in there. I am not sure how clean you got it if you cleaned this area well? I think you said you did clean everything about your TB very well? In case of miscommunication between us, I posted the picture showing mine what I was talking about to see.
