Engine: 4.0 with all of the noise and clatter
Check for a blown fuse in the under hood fuse panel. And check this link.

Model: Cherokee
After checking the fan fuse and jumping the wiring to the fan to make sure the fan would me on, I went to the control relay and replaced it. That took care of the problem.
